My baby brother, Christopher “Jackson” Karges, was born on May 23 at 7:28 a.m. He was 7 pounds .09 ounces and 18.5 inches long. Although Dad likes to call him Chris, Mom and I call him Jackson.

Mom thought she was going into labor the night before and decided to take one preggo picture so that one day, Jackson would know what she looked like right before he was born.

Grandma and Grandpa watched me for most of the week while Mom and Jackson were in the hospital. The doctor’s were a little concerned about some noises Jackson was making while he was sleeping that first day, so they took him to the special care unit in the hospital. They ran a bunch of tests and everything came back negative – but he got some great care while he was there! This was my second meeting with Jackson and it was taken while he was still in the room with Mom and Dad.

Mom was allowed to go home yesterday, but Jackson had to stay until today. Around noon, we all went to the hospital to take him home!

We’re all doing good now that we are home!
And you probably guessed it already, but I’m going to be retiring my blog and passing the torch over to my baby brother. It’s been a great ride the last three years. I may put a post here every now and then, but for the most part, you can learn about my adventures through the eyes of Jackson at: babybrotherjackson.wordpress.com. I know, he should have had his own babyjackson blog name, but that was already taken!
Until we meet again – thanks for reading over the years!
